LADESIDE ASC

Ladeside Primary School Additional Support Centre (Base) is a Falkirk Council specialised primary provision for Children with severe social and communication disorders, including ASD. The ASC was first opened at Ladeside Primary School in 1997. The ASC is an integral part of the mainstream school and overall management remains with the Head Teacher with the day to day running being the responsibility of one of the school’s Depute Head Teachers.

The ASC currently has 7 classrooms with additional facilities including our own outdoor areas. Pupils have the opportunity to access all communal areas and participate in all whole school and out of school activities where appropriate to their individual needs.

Pupils are included in the roll of mainstream classes and may access mainstream inclusion, with adult support, throughout their primary school journey at Ladeside. Inclusion is tailored to meet the very specific needs of all ASC pupils. For some of our pupils, inclusion into a mainstream primary class may never be appropriate and they will have their educational needs met within the ASC
